Leading with Passion: My Journey in Transforming Talent
Since joining this adventure, I realized it's not just about organizing tasks or managing timelines — it's about supporting, inspiring, and empowering the talent of every developer who goes through our onboarding program.
I’m Daiana, Squad Leader at Teamcubation, and I’d like to share what this role means to me. From day one, I understood that leadership here is not about control — it’s about connection. It’s about being present, lifting others up, and helping each junior developer grow into their full potential.
The Power of Teamwork
We work in triads: a leader and two highly skilled seniors. Together, we have a clear goal — to guide junior developers through their first steps in tech companies and ensure their journey is challenging, motivating, and deeply enriching.
Every onboarding process is different. There’s no magic formula that works for everyone, and that’s exactly where our team shines. We meet daily, share insights, adjust strategies, and always look for the best ways to enhance learning.
One of the most valuable lessons I’ve learned is that it’s not just about teaching code — it’s about creating a space where developers feel safe to make mistakes, encouraged to overcome challenges, and inspired to keep growing.
To do that, we implement technical challenges, integrative exercises, and even smart games that make the learning process more engaging and dynamic. It’s truly fulfilling to witness how each junior gains confidence and evolves into a stronger professional.
Mentorship, Technology, and Real Impact
The seniors play a key role in this process. They don’t just teach — they mentor, motivate, and push each developer to bring out their best. As a leader, my responsibility is to ensure the process runs smoothly, that every person has what they need to move forward, and that goals are met.
And we don’t do it blindly. We have Teamboarding, our custom software that lets us track each developer’s progress in real time. Thanks to this, we can adjust strategies, reinforce key knowledge, and ensure every junior reaches their full potential.
Pride and Passion for What We Do
What drives me the most is seeing real results. Knowing that each person who completes our program walks away more prepared, more confident, and better equipped to face new challenges fills me with pride.
And the best part? We do it together — as a team — enjoying every step of the journey. Because yes, we work, we challenge ourselves, we learn, and we have fun.
